The Current

In the hands of Dirk, Ko, and Bo, music is not a static thing. It’s liquid, always in motion. Just as water cannot be contained, their sound carves its own path—flowing, cleansing, captivating. A fusion of acid house, trance, and techno, yet without the cold precision of machines. Everything is played live—raw and handcrafted—with horns slicing through the space like swirling currents, and rhythms breaking organically from the instruments. This is no fixed pattern, no repetition. This is pure, instinctive energy. A counterforce to the paralysis of the present, a reminder of what can be experienced collectively.

And this movement is unstoppable. Since Glastonbury 2019, their current has surged across the globe—from New York subway stations to the steamy venues of the Netherlands. They made the Tolhuistuin boil, celebrated their ten-year anniversary in a euphoric Paradiso, and now the wave rolls on to Best Kept Secret 2025, where the tide will rise again. Because when Brass Rave Unit plays, the space breathes, boundaries blur, and the echo lingers on—even after the silence returns.

De stroming

In de handen van Dirk, Ko en Bo is muziek geen stilstaand iets. Het is vloeibaar, altijd in beweging. Zoals water zich niet laat vangen, zo vindt hun geluid zijn eigen weg. Golvend, zuiverend, meeslepend. Een samensmelting van acid house, trance en techno, maar zonder de kille precisie van machines. Alles wordt live gespeeld, rauw en ambachtelijk, met blazers die als wervelende stromingen door de ruimte snijden en ritmes die organisch uit de instrumenten breken. Dit is geen vast patroon, geen herhaling. Dit is pure, instinctieve energie. Een tegenkracht tegen de verstarring van het heden, een herinnering aan wat collectief beleefd kan worden.


En die beweging is niet te stoppen. Sinds Glastonbury 2019 raast hun stroom door de wereld, van de metrostations van New York tot de dampende zalen van Nederland. Ze lieten de Tolhuistuin kolken, vierden hun tienjarig jubileum in een uitzinnig Paradiso en trekken de golf verder naar Best Kept Secret 2025, waar de vloed opnieuw zal stijgen. Want wanneer Brass Rave Unit speelt, ademt de ruimte, vervagen de grenzen en blijft de echo doorklinken, zelfs als de stilte terugkeert.
